Our States

Now that we’re essentially an indoor species, walled off from the world of other life forms, we’re divorced from the very domain that supports and sustains our lives Touch the earth, love the earth, her flowers, her fruits; rest your spirit in her solitary places.

OR THE GIFTS OF LIFE ARE THE EARTH’S AND THEY ARE GIVEN TO ALL. THIS WINE IN YOUR HANDS IS A NATURE GIFT, A TREASURE OF EARTH, A HARVEST OF GRACE.

Wine has been made in this relatively unknown region since ancient times dating back to the V century B.C. Archealogical digs in this appelation prove that the production of wine has flourished here since the beginning of the Iberian age and today continues to thrive.

Utiel- Requena is located on the plateaus of the region of Valencia in southern Spain, about 70 kilometres from the city of Valencia itself. The region accounts for 40,000 hectares under vine and is the major wine producing appellation in the Valencia.

Rioja is the largest production area of high-quality wine, reputed as the “ Spanish Premium wine region” that has many Spanish boutique wineries . The region is influenced by both the Atlantic and Mediterranean climates producing hot summers and cold winters with relatively high humidity. The soil is mainly composed of rich calcareous clay with high pebble content on the surface which is conducive to the cultivation of high quality Tempranillo. The region is also defined by good tannic structure and well balanced acidity.

Toro is one of the oldest wine regions in Spain having made wine since before the Romans arrived in Spain. Toro is located in the northwest of the country in the region of Castilla y leon and has risen to international fame over the last decade. Toro in Spanish means “bull” and just like it´s majestic, noble name, the region produces full bodied wines which are very deep colour, almost black like ink. The alcohol here is also quite high reaching 15% in some cases.

The most valuable asset in Toro is the large area of vineyards which contain old vines. In the dry and extreme climate, the vines grow in perfect conditions to produce some of the finest quality grapes in Spain. Toro is one of the lowest yielding regions in the world thanks to its abundance of ancient vines. Many vines in the region are reach 80 years but more surprisingly, many surpass the 100 year old mark positioning them amongst the oldest vines to be found in Spain and in fact the world. The limited production from old vines ensures the quality of the grapes.
